Pinterest Reflection
All social media can be very helpful when it comes to the classroom. Pinterest is falls under that heading. It can be used as a great tool in all curriculums. Pinterest allows not only myself but also my students the opportunity to research and find great activities to do on specific topics and add great content to the class discussion. It can be a great tool in the beginning of the school year as a get to know you for your students. They can create their own boards and pin their hobbies and interests on it. They then can share their boards with their classmates.
When creating my Pinterest Board, I was thinking how I could improve my Pi Day Celebration that I have in my classroom each year. The students do research based projects about the history of Pi and they present these findings in creative ways. The Pinterest board is just an added way of helping my students with this project. I can’t wait to use it for these coming years Pi Day Celebration. I may even have my students create boards of where they get their information.

8NS.1 Know that numbers that are not rational are called irrational. Understand informally that every number has a decimal expansion; for rational numbers show that the decimal expansion repeats eventually, and convert a decimal expansion which repeats eventually into a rational number.
