3d printing and design
For my 3D Printer and Design project I designed a cylinder and sphere with Tinkercad. In 8th grade, students are asked many questions dealing with 3D shapes and finding the volume of those shapes. With that in mind I took a New York State question dealing with this topic and made it come to life. The students were asked how large does the diameter of a given sphere has to be to fit completely inside a given cylinder.
Below are images of my design process when creating the cylinder and sphere. I used the cylinder and sphere shapes in order to create the different parts I needed. I assembled the parts using a free online Tinkercad account, and then saved the file and uploaded it to the MakerBot software to print it.

FLIPPED CLASSROOM
Screencasting is an amazing tool to use within any classroom. It allows the teacher to capture a screen shot or video from your computer screen, and may include video. You can record procedures, answer questions, provide visual feedback, and/or provide information all while not being in front of the class.

Educational Game
I reconstructed a game using Scratch.
Scratch is a free program, which was developed by MIT, used to create interactive games, activities, stories and animations.
With the help of some screen casting and tutorial walk-throughs you can learn how to create a game.
I teach 7th Grade Math and one of the problem areas is integer rules. I decided to make a integer rule game that tests the students ability to use those rules. Below is a link to the game I created.
